Croatia striker, Mario Mandžukić and goalkeeper Danijel Subašić, have commented on their 2018 World Cup opener against Super Eagles.
The duo, however, shared the same thoughts that the Zlatko Dalić’s men will be ready for their first game against Gernot Rohr’s side.
”Today is only Tuesday, and the game on Saturday,” Mandžukić told reporters at Tuesday’s press conference.
“We still do not know the starting lineup. I can say that I will be ready for the game with Nigeria.”
Subasic added: ”It’s very important for me to be here. I was the second or third goalkeeper for ten years, but now I’m number one and I’m really looking forward to playing with Nigeria.
”Now for us the most important thing is to win in the first match. If it works out, then it will be easier.”
Croatia and Nigeria will face each other at the Kaliningrad Stadium, Kaliningrad, Russia on Saturday.
