2018 World Cup: Algeria’s Soudani warns Croatia against Super Eagles

Algeria and Dinamo Zagreb forward Hilal Soudani has told Croatia to be careful with the Super Eagles in their Group D fixture at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The Super Eagles qualified from a group that had Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia unbeaten.

Soudani, having watched Gernot Rohr’s team all along, believes they will be dangerous customers for the Croats in Russia.

He told Sportske.jutarnji.hr, “I did not play in one game, but I watched the game on television and I can say Nigeria is an extremely powerful team. They are physically powerful, really powerful.

“Apart from that, they have a lot of players in big clubs and they didn’t lose a game in the qualifiers.

“They have Mikel Obi and Victor Moses who plays for Chelsea and other good players too. I think Croatia need to be careful.

“They beat Argentina 4-2 few weeks ago in a friendly match. Though you could say it was a friendly game, but it was a victory that points to Nigeria as a serious contender in the group.

“Croatia and Argentina are better than Nigeria especially if you look at the players they have, but they really have to look at Nigeria, for me they are almost at the same level.” Nigeria and Croatia will clash in their first Group D game on June 16 at the Kaliningrad Stadium.
