A pilgrim from Yabo local government area of Sokoto state, Malam Sani Musa, has been reportedly robbed in Madina.

Musa said he was robbed on his way back to the hotel after visiting the Holy Prophet’s Mosques Saturday evening.

Speaking to newsmen, the pilgrim said he was trailed by the robbers as he missed his way to the hotel.

“We came in group but lost the other members while coming out from the mosques”, Daily Trust quoted him as saying.

“One man who noticed my state of confusion offered to help me locate my hotel.

“He then directed me to one way which he said would lead me there, unknowingly two men were trailing me.

“They grabbed me into one corner and forced me to hand over my basic transport allowance (BTA) to them.”

Musa, who lamented that he lost all his money, thanked some of his fellow pilgrims that had contributed money for him.

“It is these contributions that I am using to buy food and other necessary things. I really appreciate their kindness and this act of brotherliness”, he added.
