The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Dr. Chris Ngige has predicted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will clinch 28 states on first ballot in February general elections.
He told newsmen in Awka, the Anambra State capital that his prediction was based on facts and surveys conducted by independent surveyors.
Ngige, who is the Coordinator of General Muhammed Buhari Presidential Campaign in the South-East, said that following the prediction, APC would form the next government at the centre.
“Our party will win in 28 states in the first ballot; we have done everything humanly possible to educate our people to follow this change.
“We have done very well in making the people believe in APC despite the vilification by the PDP,” he said.
He explained that the APC presidential campaign in the South-East would start in the zone on January 10 and would end with a rally in Oweri on January 12.
“Our campaign is issue-based as we are championing for change that will affect the lives of the people of the country; we will address the issue of security, welfare and the economy,” he said.
He, however, said that the Igbos were pushing themselves into marginalisation as “they were not playing good politics.”
“Unless there is a decisive decision by the Igbo merchants and oil traders to participate in Nigerian politics, the people will continue to be marginalised”, he remarked.
