In spite of the warning given by the Independent National Electoral Commission over syndication of campaign posters ahead of the 2015 General elections, colourfully printed campaign posters of President Goodluck Jonathan has flooded some areas in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

The posters which captured the president, wearing different caps from the three main ethnics groups in the country were pasted majorly along the express way.

Although those behind the pasting of the posters were still unknown, it was gathered that they were pasted in the midnight.

President Jonathan’s posters were the first to flood some streets in Akure in the battle ahead of 2015 presidential election.

However, the state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party has distanced itself from the mass pasting of the posters.

Its state Chairman, Ebenezer Alabi alleged that the opposition parties were behind the action.
