Governor Ibrahim Geidam of Yobe State has explained that security situation in the northeast, particularly the highway from Maiduguri to Damaturu, was the main reason why the All Progressives Congress standard bearer, General Muhammadu Buhari could not campaign in the State.
The Governor also dismissed speculations that he was at logger heads with Buhari.
Geidam while speaking during the APC rally said it was his hope that Buhari would win the election as he remained the only candidate with proven integrity.
He stated that General Buhari was a straight forward person and called on the people to come out enmass to ensure the victory of the APC during the election.
Also speaking, former governor of the state and senator representing Yobe east told the supporters of APC that general Buhari would address three things if elected, which include issues of security, corruption and economy.
