Niger State governor, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, has called on Nigerians to report anybody seen with tyres, insisting that such a person has an intention of protesting violently.
Aliyu made the call at the official commissioning ceremony of the Nigeria Union of Teachers’ Endwell Model School and Tractors Hiring Scheme in Minna, adding that the people of the state will accept the results the way it is been released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
He said: “If you see anybody collecting or keeping tyres, please, report them to the Police, because they have bad intentions.
“Many of them are ignorant. They may have to be educated. If any father says ‘go and do so, so and so,’ or anybody gives you N20 to go and burn a place, you should ask him first: ‘where is your son so that we can go together.”
