FIFA World Cup Local Organising Committee, has confirmed that September’s rankings, will be used to determine the seeded teams for the final round of qualification, for the countries under CAF.
This means that the top five teams will be seeded for the draw. which is scheduled to be held on September 16 at CAF headquarters in Cairo.
All 10 group winners in the current second phase, will all progress to the final qualifying round, where they will be paired against each other. The winner of the two-legged play-off will represent the country at next year’s World Cup in Brazil.
