No fewer than 14 persons have been gruesomely murdered by unknown gunmen in Sime Tai area of Rivers state.
This area also happens to be the home town of House of Representatives member representing Tai/Eleme/Oyigbo. Hon. Jacobson Nbina.
DAILYPOST reports that the attack was carried out by a cult group on a reprisal mission.
This is the second time within one week that the area would be attacked by cult groups after after unknown gunmen murdered the gateman and uncle of Hon. Nbina last week.
Our correspondent learnt that the incident happened early hours of Friday, when the hoodlums invaded the community with sophisticated rifles, shooting sporadically, leading to the death of 14 persons and many others injured.
When contacted, the Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni said he was not in town and has not been briefed on the incident.
