Prof. Samuel Egwu, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Niger State, said that the commission was in possession of 136,958 Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) yet to be collected across the state.

Egwu said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna on Wednesday.

He said the commission had, however, reached out to stakeholders to mobilise those that had registered and yet to collect their PVCs Cards to do so.

The REC, therefore, called on eligible voters in the state, yet to register in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CRV) in all polling units in the state to take the advantage of the exercise and register.

“We have contacted the leaders of various political parties, traditional and religious leaders to mobilise eligible residents to register, to enable them participate in the electoral processes,” he said. (NAN)
