10 primary schools in Lagos get educational material


The Chairman, Ikoyi- Obalende Local Council Development Area,Lagos, Mr. Adewale Adeniji on thursday distributed educational materials to 10 public primary schools in the local council.

Adeniji presented the materials to include,First Aid boxes to the students and Head teachers of Ireti Girls Primary School, Ikoyi Girls Modern Primary School, St. Gregory Girls Primary School, Dodan Barracks Primary School, Hope Primary School, Obalende Primary School, Ikoyi Primary School, St. Gregory Boys Primary School, Ireti Primary School and Jinadu Anglican Primary School.

He said the materials will assist the students towards boosting their learning skills.

“The role of education in our society cannot be over-emphasised. This administration has rehabilitated and refurbished the infrastructure in some of our schools, provided West African Examination Council forms as well as Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board forms for our pupils, and hence decided today to distribute school kits as school bags, exercise books and rain coats, to all primary school pupils within the local Council Government Area so that our pupils who attend public primary schools are in no way placed at a disadvantage compared to their colleagues in private schools,” he said.

“We are also distributing equipped first aids boxes to all primary schools within the local council, to support health care delivery in primary school for the treatment of medical emergencies as well as health diseases that are currently becoming issues of public health concern,” he added.

The Chairman, Head of Teachers, Eti-Osa branch, Mr. Oladunjoye Olabode, commended the Chairman’s gesture, adding that the educational materials provided will assist the pupils to get qualitative education.
