No fewer than 10 persons lost their lives on Wednesday while others were hospitalised after eating a wedding meal in Nadangoro area of Katsina State.
DAILY POST gathered that the incident had led to a wide spread fear among those who ate at the occasion.
The victims were said to have rushed to various hospitals after complaining of stomach ache when they left the ceremony. Some, however, died shortly after being admitted.
According to a source from the Federal Medical Centre in the State, the hospital had received a number of cases as regards the incident.
“I think, from the information gathered so far, the case of some of the victims has to do with food poisoning”, the staff said.
